With this plan, there’s no need to make the difficult choice between saving your money or protecting your smile when you can easily do both at Columbus Dental Arts. That’s because we’ve already done the work of pre-negotiating fair rates with Delta Dental that allow us to deliver the highest quality care at the best prices for our patients.
Delta Dental Coverage Availability & Fees
Delta Dental currently offers three different types of dental insurance plans. These include:
- Delta Dental PPOSM
- Delta Dental Premier®
- DeltaCare®USA (Delta’s DHMO-type closed network plan)
If you have chosen a Delta Dental PPO or Delta Dental Premier dental insurance plan, you are free to use your plan to visit any licensed dentist of your choice. However, your savings will increase when you choose a dentist who is in-network with your plan. If you have DeltaCare USA, you must select a primary care dentist from their provider network.
Your exact coverage from your Delta Dental Premier insurance plan will depend on your specific plan, the dentist you choose and the treatment you are receiving. With most Delta Dental Premier plans, a pre-specified percentage of the cost of your treatment will be paid out by your plan, and your remaining balance will depend upon Columbus Dental Arts’ fees. Ultimately, your out-of-pocket expenses should be much lower when you visit our office because we are in-network with Delta Dental.
Please note that with Delta Dental Premier, your plan may have what is known as a table of allowances which specifies the dollar amount Delta Dental will pay for each treatment you receive. In this case, you would pay the difference between Delta Dental’s allowance and our fees.
Please also be aware that most Delta Dental Insurance plans operate within a specified benefits period, which is typically one calendar year, although this may not always be from January through December. Also, some annual maximums and limits can be applied to each member of your family on your plan. At Columbus Dental Arts, we’ll be glad to verify your coverage and ensure you’re getting the most out of your Delta Dental Premier plan before any treatment begins.
